About Us

Prior to starting my own business, I held a senior management position as a specialist Awarding Organisation and Professional Body operating in the UK and internationally. In this role, I had responsibility for the development of all regulated qualifications and non-regulated accreditations.

My responsibility for developing new qualifications involved closely working with the regulators for each nation of the UK (Ofqual, CCEA, SQA and Qualifications Wales), various UK government departments and funding agencies.

Since establishing my own business in August 2015, I have worked with a range of businesses, including other Awarding Organisations (AOs), End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAOs), regulators, employers, manufacturers and training providers both in the UK and overseas.

I also work with Ofqual (as an expert advisor) completing many projects including reviewing qualification submissions from other Awarding Organisations, including GCSEs, Technical Awards, T levels and End Point Assessments. 

Recently I have successfully supported various organisations to apply for Ofqual recognition in order for them to offer End Point Assessments where Ofqual is the External Quality Assurance Organisation. As well as supporting the application itself, the work also involved developing new policies and procedures, to enable the successful development and delivery of assessments.

I have also supported existing Awarding Organisations to set up new End Point Assessment services from scratch, including applying to offer the relevant standards, developing all the associated assessment material and guidance, developing and delivering independent assessor training. 

In addition, I have helped Awarding Organisations develop new vocational qualifications (including T levels), trained staff and audited regulatory processes and procedures as part of the self-assessment process in advance of submitting the annual statement of compliance to regulators.

I have also worked on international projects, including projects in Panama and delivering seminars to senior college leaders in China, and very recently have been involved in benchmarking exercises comparing UK qualifications to similar qualifications in China.

Therefore, I have experience in all aspects of standards setting and quality assurance processes, particularly with regards to apprenticeships and technical education, and across a wide range of occupational roles – from customer service, sales and management to the many different technical roles related to automotive and engineering.
